PoW Chapter 167

And with this chapter, I will leave my PoW adventures on a sad note. It seems that Qidian is now cracking down on translations without their authorization, and even though I haven’t been told to stop (probably because I never picked up this project officially), they probably will if if I continue to do so.

Hopefully, things are not as bleak as it seems for the chinese novel world. One day, I may regret my words when the QI devours every project and reigns supreme.

Translated by FatChinee

Edit: I was just told by them to stop all further translating of Portal of Wonderland due to it not being authorized. It is a a popular title that they plan on translating on their international site, so I can no longer legally translate it. I just hope that their quality and accuracy is greater than mine at the very least -3-

Thanks for the good work. Sad to see it go, but I respect your decision whole-heartedly.

    Ah, it’d probably be alright…

For the most part, they don’t translate to English anyways…

does this mean that there won’t be anyone to translate this novel anymore?

Thanks for the chapter FatChinee! I’m sorry to hear Qidian wants to monopolize novels. Hoping we’ll get to read it somewhere someday.

Pika, I’m sure you have heard of qidan international. I have already browsed through their projects on novel updates to see if they picked up portal of Wonderland. They are supposed to launch in March but they still haven’t picked up POW yet while already deciding their lineup of novels. So they probably won’t pick on you if u pick up POW. After all, doesn’t translating Perfect World carry the same risk which is also owned by qidan? I respect your decision but was wondering what your opinion was since both novels are owned by qidan? If you feel offended by my question in any way I am sorry. It wasn’t my decision to question your decision but to just request for information. Thank you very much for your hard work!

Of course not! As for Qidian international, they have stated that they are working on Portal of Wonderland, so I am no longer going to be able to translate this. For Perfect World, I have authorization to continue doing so, so you don’t have to worry about that!
